Ziano di Fiemme - Field testing of the prototype ski-touring boot continues. After the June test sessions at Passo del Tonale, field tests now move to the Marmolada glacier.

Early morning on Thursday 28th August a group of testers (Dino Merelli, Diego Amplatz, Lorenzo Delladio) and some La Sportiva athletes, met on the Marmolada glacier for a test session.
The group was there to test some of the boot’s technical features which had performed extremely well under laboratory conditions but which had yet to be tested outdoors on the snow.
The final results were outstanding, especially the exceptional lightweight properties which make the boot half the weight of the best plastic models available on the market today. 
But what truly won the enthusiasm of the testers was the precise skiing characteristics and the ease of steering the ski when making a quick change of direction on the uphill climb and when skiing down narrow gullies.   
The tests included walking with and without crampons, and demonstrated complete freedom of movement to the ankle and leg, a feature which will definitely be appreciated by our customers, who will be truly satisfied with this high performances model.

After a five hour skiing session, comparative testing, discussions, exchange of opinions and cold weather, the group head back home, content with their day’s work and convinced that this model is the most avante-guard available on the market today.
