Stratos: La Sportiva's ski-touring boot finally has a name!

“Stratos” has been chosen for La Sportiva’s Ski Touring model: a dynamic and easy to remember name that calls to mind the world of motor racing which has inspired many La Sportiva models over the years. The official product presentation will take place at ISPO in Munich next February, but following the gala night at “Dolomiti sotto le stele”, the boot has also been on show at another prestigious event.

On 7th December in Pecol di Zoldo, Val Zoldana, La Sportiva took part in the exclusive Ski Alp Test 2008, an important window where the public are able to test some of the most innovative ski mountaineering gear, and telemark equipment currently on the market. A number of well known athletes presided over the occasion, including national Italian ski mountaineering athletes Lorenzo Holzknecht and Michael Moling.

After yet another brilliant test result, the all-important appointment will be ISPO 2009 for the official launch of STRATOS!
